Drinking Water

The government regulates the quality of our drinking water. In Germany, the Drinking Water Ordinance § 15 par. 4 states that approved testing sites should undertake the monitoring process. For over 25 years, GBA has been taking samples from drinking water testing sites throughout Germany and has been analyzing them in accordance with the generally recognized technical rules for the operators of installation facilities as well as producers of drinking water. In addition to the water providers, both public and private operators, the housing industry also plays a substantial part.

The GBA Group is particularly mindful of the need to unite sampling and analysis. We receive our orders directly from the company and the owner of the facility that is to be inspected. In order to produce meaningful analytical results, it is imperative that the sampling is carried out properly by qualified individuals, taking all of the on-site parameters into account. Internal and external training sessions help ensure that our sample-takers always possess the latest technical knowledge. We plan the sampling, set the appointment with the operators and/or the tenants, and assess the analytical results in accordance with the German Drinking Water Ordinance.

We are also there for you beyond just providing analytical results. If the analysis confirms that you have kept under the maximum levels, we plan the next intervals for sampling in accordance with the legal requirements. If you have exceeded the limits, then we stay by your side as your partner to assist with further measures and analyses. That includes the communication with the responsible authorities, electronic data transfer to health agencies, or even providing notices to post in buildings with rental units.

Independence is required according to the standard DIN EN ISO 17025. We fulfill this requirement because we do not work for the facilities where we take samples. With our independent partners, we also provide you with risk analyses for the housing industry. Private consumers can also have their drinking water analyzed by our subsidiary, IVARIO, with a wide variety of parameters available, such as heavy metals, pesticides, or nitrates.
